Facilities

DTTP facilities, like the one shown here will be located in armories, local college campuses, libraries, assisted-housing and other community centers. The goal is to make these sites the technology hub for the entire surrounding community, to ensure access and usage of the facilities.

Sites will provide access to information-age technologies such as:
- Audio and Video Conferencing (Live, 2-way Audio and Video)
- Computer-based Learning
- Video Programming
- Interactive Audio and Video Technologies
- Electronic Mail and Electronic Network Access (Internet-based)

These sites can be used as telecommuting centers; extension sites for adult education centers; community college and university distance learning classrooms; sites for the legal system to conduct depositions and testimonies, or the review of patient records and telemedicine by the healthcare industry; training centers for businesses and trade associations; audio and video conferencing sites for "town hall meetings" connecting multiple sites nationally; teleconferencing or training facilities for non-profit and state agencies; and community centers for life-long learning.
