ELIGIBILITY/COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

 

1.  APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM CURRENT MEMBERS OR PERSONNEL ELIGIBLE TO BECOME MEMBERS OF THE SCARNG IN THE GRADES OF E-4 THRU E-7.  APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF AR 600-9 AND WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE A DIAGNOSTIC APFT THE DAY OF THEIR INTERVIEW.

2.  PREFER APPLICANTS HAVE COMPUTER SKILLS.  APPLICANTS MUST HAVE AN ARMY MOS AND MUST HAVE AN ST SCORE OF 100 AND A GT SCORE OF 110, GT IS WAIVABLE TO 100.

3.  APPLICANTS MUST BE SELF-MOTIVATED, HAVE AN OUTGOING PERSONALITY, DIRECT SALES EXPERIENCE PREFERRED.

4.  INDIVIDUALS NOT IN THE AGR PROGRAM MUST HAVE A CURRENT PERIODIC HEALTH ASSESSMENT (PHA) BEFORE THEY CAN ENTER THE AGR PROGRAM.  THE PERIODIC HEALTH ASSESSMENT MUST BE CURRENT WITHIN ONE YEAR. 

5.  APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS AS LISTED ON THE REVERSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.  INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS OR THOSE NOT MEETING REQUIREMENTS WILL BE RETURNED.  (PLEASE ARRANGE ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING APPLICATION.)

6.  APPLICANTS MUST INCLUDE HOME AND WORK NUMBERS ON NGB 34-1.

7.  APPLICANTS MUST BE CAPABLE OF WORKING UNDER PRESSURE FOR MONTHLY PRODUCTION QUOTAS WITH LITTLE SUPERVISION UPON COMPLETION OF TRAINING.

8.  APPLICANTS MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE IF NECESSARY. 

9.  APPLICANTS MUST MEET REQUIREMENTS OF PARAGRAPH 10-223.3, DA PAM 611-21, FOR AWARD OF MOS 79T.

10.  APPLICANTS MUST BE A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE WITH DIPLOMA; OR HAVE ONE YEAR OF COLLEGE WITH A HIGH SCHOOL GED WITH NO WAIVER.

11.  A THREE QUARTER LENGTH PHOTOGRAPH IN CLASS “A” OR BDU UNIFORM TAKEN WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS.  SEE AR 640-30.

12.  APPLICANTS IN THE SELECTED RESERVE INCENTIVE PROGRAM (SRIP), IF SELECTED, MAY HAVE THEIR INCENTIVES TERMINATED AND IN SOME CASES RECOUPMENT MADE.

1.  If an enlisted Soldier, must be 18 years of age and not have reached his or her 55th birthday.  If an officer, must be able to complete 3 years in an AGR status prior to mandatory removal date.

 

2.  Must be able to serve at least five years in an active military status (AGR) prior to completing 18 years of active federal service on the individual's mandatory removal date.

 

3.  Must meet medical standards prescribed by chapters 2, 4, or 5, AR 40-501 within the 24 months preceding the first day of AGR tour.

 

4.  Must meet body composition/weight control standards prescribed by AR 600-9.

 

5.  Must not be a candidate for an elective office or holding a civil office.

 

6.  Must not be under a current suspension of favorable personnel actions.

 

7.  Applicants must not be eligible for, nor receiving, federal annuities.

 

8.  Individuals with 15 or more years active service (full-time National Guard or Active Duty) are ineligible for initial entry into the AGR program.

 

9.  Individuals who voluntarily resign from the AGR program in lieu of adverse personnel actions, or those involuntarily separated from the program are not eligible to reenter the program.

 

10. Individuals who have been separated from other military services for cause, unsuitability or unfitness for military service (other than temporary medical disability) are ineligible to enter the program.

 

11.  Military duty personnel will participate with their unit of assignment during unit training assemblies and annual training periods.

 

12.  The initial tour of duty will be for three years. Soldier must be in the AGR program 1 year before entering the promotion cycle.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING APPLICATION:  Individuals desiring consideration for this position must forward below listed documents to arrive in the AGR office PRIOR to 1700 hours on the closing date.  Applications arriving late or the absence of any of the listed documents will be cause for rejection of the application.  NOTE:  See unit full time personnel for all underlined items.

 

1.  NGB Form 34-1 (Application Form) Ensure you sign and date the application. 

2.  MEDPROS-Individual Medical Readiness Record (Reserve Component)

3.  Three quarter length photo in class "A" or ACU uniform taken within preceding 12 mos/Digital photo printed on plain paper or Polaroid photos are acceptable.  Attach photo to sheet of paper.

4.  DA Form 705 (APFT Scorecard) with DA 5500 (Body Fat Content Worksheet) if applicable.

5.  DA Form 2-1

6.  Latest five OERs/NCOERs or three letters of recommendation.

7.  All DD 214s and NGB 22s and a NGB 23b.
