                                      ELIGIBILITY/COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

 

1.  APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM

CURRENT MEMBERS OR PERSONNEL ELIGIBLE TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE SCANG  IN THE GRADES OF E-7 THRU E-8 WHO ARE CURRENTLY

AFSC 8RXXX QUALIFIED.

 

2.  APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 24 MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN

MILITARY RECRUITING AND/OR RETENTION.  RECRUITING OFFICER MANANGER (ROM) OR RETENTION OFFICE MANAGER EXPERIENCE

(ROM) IS DESIRABLE.

 

3.  APPLICANTS MUST PROJECT A FAVORABLE IMAGE OF THE ANG.  MUST PROJECT OUTSTANDING APPERANCE, MILITARY BEARING AND MAINTAIN HIGH STANDARDS OF CONDUCT.

 

4.  APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK CLEARLY, COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY AND BE SKILLED IN ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION.

 

5.  APPLICANT MUST BE WILLING TO WORK LONG IRREGULAR HOURS AND BECOME INVOLVED IN CIVIC AND MILITARY ACTIVITIES AND BE SUBJECT TO INTENSE PUBLIC SCRUTINY.

 

6.   APPLICANT MUST BE A PROMOTABLE (COMPLETED SENIOR NCO ACADEMY) MASTER SERGEANT (E7) OR BE A SENIOR MASTER SERGEANT (E8) PRIOR TO ASSIGNMENT AS RECRUTING & RETENTION SUPERINTENDENT.  APPLICANTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN SENIOR NCO ACADEMY MAY APPLY.

 

7.  THIS IS A “FENCED” AGR TOUR, WHICH MEANS THAT THE SELECTED INDIVIDUAL MAY NOT APPLY FOR “ON BOARD AGR ONLY” POSITIONS.

 

8.  PERMANENT CHANGE STATION (PCS) FUNDS MAY/MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE.

 

9.  APPLICATIONS MUST BE IN HR NLT CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON THE CLOSING DATE.

 

1.       Must not be receiving or be eligible to receive an immediate federal retirement

annuity.

 

2.       Must have a minimum score of 75 or higher on current AF Fitness Test.

 

3.      Selectee must successfully complete a medical examination IAW ANGI 48-123 prior

to entry on military duty.  

 

4.      Applicant's military grade may not exceed grade authorized for the position.

 

5.      Military duty personnel will participate with their unit of assignment during Unit

Training Assemblies and Annual Training Periods.

 

6.      Security Clearance requirements:  Applicants must be able to attain/possess security

clearance required for this position.

 

7.      Applicants previously separated for cause from Active Duty or a previous AGR tour

are ineligible for entry into the AGR program.
