Are you looking for a new safe place to run / walk? Come join members of the South Carolina National Guard and the USO for the grand opening of the USC Farmers Market running / walking area on Wednesday, 1 July at 0730. We will have a 1 mile Fun Run with MG Robert E. Livingston, Jr., the Adjutant General for S.C., and CSM Robert Brickley, the State CSM. Join the Health Promotion Team at the Bluff Road armory in Columbia, S.C., July 6-31 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) for 30 minute workouts that include bodyweight and cardio exercises. Personnel who want to participate must be present on Monday, 6 July or Tuesday, 7 July at 0730 to conduct a mini evaluation. Height and weight will be recorded and everyone will do a mystery fitness test. Anyone unable to attend either of the first two days can email the trainers for an alternate date. This program is voluntary, but success can only be achieved if progress is tracked, so plan on coming those first two days!
Workout schedule: Mon, Tues, Wed, and Fri at 0730 and 1600, (participants can choose either times) with an additional session Fridays at 1500. Morning sessions meet at the armory gazebo. Afternoon sessions meet on the drill hall floor. July is a very warm month, so bring water and hydrate all week!
